if the body is strong and healthy then the mind is clear to follow the path of the Spirit. Conversely, if the body is unhealthy or imbalanced our minds are distracted and we cannot truly feel the presence of our Spirit.
Our challenge then is to find ease in the body and the mind. It’s easy to not prioritize our well-being, but in order to be fully present for ourselves, for our loved ones, and for our community, we believe it’s our responsibility. That will look different for each of us. What does self-care look like for you?
It’s easy to take for granted the basics: clean water, sufficient sleep, conscious food choices, and full breathing. Coming to a practical and sustaining life/work balance is often the most challenging piece. It’s not so much about knowing how to care for ourselves; it’s about doing what we already know.
Massage allows us to stop, literally, from the pace of our busy lives. Receiving bodywork offers us a chance to connect with our bodies, all the way down to our synapses, to unwind some of the tension we’ve hidden there, and to expand awareness of our being.
